Born and raised in Chicago,IL Dr Alan J Dayan attended Albert Einstein Medical college of medicine and did a five-year residency residency in Orthopaedic surgery at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn,NY. He then went on to do a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan,NY. Dr Dayan has been an active member of the NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases since his fellowship in 1996. Dr Dayan is an assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NYU medical center and the Director of the Institute's Orthopaedic Urgent Care Center. He regularly works with orthopaedic residents, medical students and Attendings at the NYU-HJD. He is very current with all Orthopaedic advances and the latest techniques in Orthopaedics.
